This Privacy Policy explains how PaidInsight handles personal information about people who visit paidinsight.com, read our blog, sign in to the PaidInsight app, buy credits, or run studies. If you were invited to take part in an interview, the Participant Privacy Notice applies to you instead. The rules for using the service are in the Customer Terms.

Who we are

PaidInsight runs the service from the Netherlands. This document is operator-authored plain language. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed or approved by counsel.

What we collect

Depending on how you use PaidInsight, we may process:

• Account information from our sign-in provider: your name, email address, and the organization you belong to
• Workspace content you create: study settings, questions, brand details, and the names, email addresses, and other details you enter to invite participants
• Billing records: purchase amounts, credit and reward balances, and payment references. You enter card details on our payment processor's hosted page; we do not receive your full card number
• Try It test calls: the phone number you verify, which we store encrypted, and the demo call's recording, transcript, and outcome
• Study results produced for your workspace: interview recordings, transcripts, summaries, and reports
• Technical records: request logs, error reports, email delivery events, and sampled page-performance measurements from the signed-in app
• Messages you send us by email

Why we process it

• Provide the service: your account, workspace, studies, invitations, interviews, and reports
• Charge for purchases, keep accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse
• Send service emails such as study decisions, reminders, receipts, and security or account notices. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it
• Keep the service reliable, fast, and secure
• Comply with legal obligations and keep required records

Cookies and browser storage

• The public website and blog set no analytics or advertising cookies.
• When you open the app from a button on the website, the app stores a short-lived marker in your browser's session storage so that one page-load timing measurement is recorded once; it holds no personal details.
• The signed-in app uses a cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie that remembers whether you are viewing the demo workspace, and sampled performance measurements that are sent to our own server. We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not track you across other websites, so we do not respond differently to Do Not Track browser signals.

Who receives it

• Service providers that help us run sign-in, payments, email, phone calls and text messages, transcription and AI analysis, storage, error monitoring, and hosting, acting under our instructions where applicable
• Participants you invite see your organization's name and the study purpose you write on the invitation
• Authorities or other parties when the law requires it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. This version does not name individual providers; we plan to publish a provider list in a future version.

Where your information is processed

Our service providers process information in the United States and in other countries, and PaidInsight accesses it from the Netherlands, where European Union data protection law applies to us. We have not yet published the specific safeguard we rely on when information moves between countries; a future version of this policy will name it once it is confirmed.

Legal basis

Because PaidInsight is located in the Netherlands, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to how we handle your information. Under that law we rely on:

• Performance of our agreement with your organization for accounts, billing, studies, and support
• Our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, preventing abuse, improving reliability, and keeping a record of what was agreed
• Our legal obligations where we must keep financial or other records
• Your consent where we ask for it, for example before a Try It test call

Automated processing

An AI interviewer conducts interviews, and software summarizes them for your workspace. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Fraud and abuse checks may be automated; you can ask us to have a person review a decision that affects your account.

Security

We protect information with measures such as encryption while it travels over the internet, encrypted storage of phone numbers, signed provider callbacks, and limits on who can access what. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never happen.

Retention

We do not yet publish fixed retention periods for most records. Workspace content and study results are kept while your account and workspace are active and for as long as operating, security, financial-record, or legal-hold needs require. Try It demo recordings and transcripts are kept for 30 days and then scheduled for deletion. When fixed periods are approved they will appear in a new version of this policy.

Your rights

Depending on your state, United States privacy laws may give you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct or delete it, to opt out of sales or targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Because EU data protection law also applies to us, everyone may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests
• Receive the information you provided to us in a portable format
• Withdraw consent you gave earlier

To exercise a right, email admin@paidinsight.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. Some records cannot be deleted while a study result, a payment record, or a legal hold depends on them; we explain that when it applies. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. In the United States you can contact the consumer protection office of your state attorney general.

Children

The service is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes

Material updates appear under a new version with a new effective date. We notify workspace owners of material changes by email or on the billing page.
